Wireless multimedia communications such as Video Transfer over Radio Interface (VToRI) is widely acknowledged as one of the key, emerging applications for wireless networks. They are becoming popular and are major revenue earners for wireless communication providers. As a service with real-time requirement, VToRI requires a low delivering delay under the constraint of bandwidth. Larger bandwidth and better scheduling mechanism are usually considered as two major solutions. The later is easier to be realized due to lack of available spectrum resources over radio interface. This paper proposed a scheduling mechanism based on modifying the header of IPv4 datagram. Simulation results show the proposed mechanism could effectively improve the total throughput and decrease the access delay.
