Scattering of a Radially Oriented Hertz Dipole Field by a Perfect Electromagnetic Conductor (Pemc) Sphere

Abstract: Abstract-PEMC medium is a special type of metamaterial which generalizes the pre-existing concepts of perfect electric conductor (PEC) and perfect magnetic conductor (PMC). PEMC medium is described by a special parameter named as admittance which decides the nature of medium as PEC or PMC. Electromagnetic fields scattered by a PEMC sphere are investigated theoretically. A Hertz dipole as a source of excitation is considered. Co-polarized and cross-polarized components of the scattered fields are taken into con… Show more

“…coated and un-coated PEMC elliptical cylinder is investigated by Hamid and Cooray [15,16]. Ghaffar et al discussed the scattering of a radially oriented hertz dipole field by a PEMC sphere [17]. Wave analysis of scattered radiation from coated PEMC cylinder is studied by many authors with different coatings [18][19][20].…”

“…Furthermore, plane wave scattering by a composite circular cylindrical structure was illustrated using PEC [7] as well as PEMC core [8]. Also, scattering of PEMC structures for practical applications was investigated in [9,10]. The PEMC was initially introduced as a purely conceptual medium.…”
