“…Harris Lines (HL) correspond to highly mineralized transversely oriented trabeculae that can present diverse morphologies and a wide range of thicknesses (Ogden,1984; Inokuchi et al,2000; Egawa et al,2001). Visible through radiography, electron microscopy, magnetic resonance and the histological cuts of bones (Harris,1931; Mays,1995; Yao and Seeger,1997; Inokuchi et al,2000), HL form while the bone is growing but can disappear as a result of bone modeling, remodeling, and resorption (Harris,1933; Garn et al,1968b; Grolleau‐Raoux et al,1997).
