Scalable FPGA and DSP based control for multiphase concentrated winding permanent magnet machines with single coil integrated inverters

Abstract: This paper discusses a DSP/FPGA-based control system for a permanent magnet machine with concentrated windings. In this setup each coil is driven by a separate Hbridge inverter. Operation is considered under normal and fault condition. An interleaved modulation technique is introduced and compared with two standard modulations.
