The HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems utilization has increased in the last decade. It conducts global warming which has an impact on the rising of global temperatures. An excellent air conditioning system will make the room comfortable conditions. This paper aims to investigate the mosque space with a cooling model of wall-mounted air conditioning and the difference in inlet angle and air inlet velocity. The room design was constructed using SolidWorks software. Air distribution observations were created using ANSYS Workbench simulation software. The use of a supply angle of 90° results in an even distribution of air with a low inlet velocity, whereas in conditions of a supply angle of 60° requires a higher inlet speed. Thus, the uniform air distribution is able to be realized by the proper configuration which results an appropriately room temperature and saves energy usage.

Energi terbarukan merupakan energi alternatif yang bersih, bebas polusi, aman dan ketersediaanya tidak terbatas. Energi angin merupakan salah satu energi terbarukan. Pemanfaatan energi angin dilakukan dengan menggunakan turbin angin salah satunya savonius. Turbin savonius memiliki kekurangan pada nilai koefisien daya (Cp) yang rendah. Penambahan konfigurasi posisi dan lokasi slotted blades dapat meningkatkan nilai Cp. Untuk memaksimalkan desain turbin angin savonius maka perlu dicari faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap nilai Cp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis signifikansi unjuk kerja turbin angin savonius dengan konfigurasi slotted blades secara statistik. Pengujian hipotesis dari dua faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai Cp dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pengujian statistik Kolmogorov Smirnov Test, Normalitas test, analysis-of-variance (ANOVA) linier, one-way ANOVA menggunakan software SPSS 22. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa lokasi slotted blades berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap nilai Cp (Sig. 0,000 kurang dari 0,05). Terdapat interaksi antara kedua variabel uji posisi*lebar (Sig. 0,000 kurang dari 0,05). Posisi slotted blades lebih berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai Cp karena nilai Sig. 0,000 lebih rendah dari lebar slotted blades 0,011.

Air conditioning systems have become very important at the end of this decade, due to global warming. Comfortable room conditions require a good air conditioning system. This paper aims to investigate the effect of the velocity inlet on central air conditioning. The boundary condition design was made using computer-aided design software. The temperature distribution was investigated numerically. The use of a central air conditioner with 12 inlet diffuser at a velocity of 0.7 m/s produces an even temperature distribution. The condition of the effective draft temperature produced is between -3 to 2 by 75% at an inlet velocity of 0.7 m/s. Meanwhile, at the inlet speed of more than 1m/s, the room temperature is met below 15℃. Thus, even temperature distribution and a suitable effective draft temperature can save energy consumption.
