“…In the present study, females showed a significant higher difference regarding to doing LASIK for improving their general look and their levels of satisfaction. In agreement, the satisfaction of 13,65% patients after surgery showed that females were higher in seeking for LASIK treatment than men to get rid of glasses (24) . Also, our study showed that medical professions showed a lower levels of satisfaction about quality of vision than educational professions and this could be attributed to the reason that medical professions have sufficient knowledge about the impact of LASIK and their clinical outcomes and could observe even fine changes in their vision quality.…”

Because patient satisfaction is very high in general after refractive surgery, with satisfaction rates for LASIK reported between 95% and 100%, 27,37,38 it may be difficult to distinguish subtle differences between treatment profiles.…”

“…In a study by Brown et al ., responses from 13,655 consecutive patients who completed their 1-month postoperative examination were analyzed. 11 They 11 observed a very high level of satisfaction both for the quality of postoperative care provided (98.6%) and for the visual results obtained (95.0%). Most patients (94.2%) indicated that the surgery improved their life, and most would recommend both laser vision correction (96.5%) and the corporate provider (97.5%) to friends and family.…”
