“…Defining an objective standard for the start and end of the wet season is difficult, due to the nature of rainfall in much of the region, which tends to come in the form of large, semi-frequent MCSs, rather than more consistent daily precipitation events (Evans and Jaskiewicz, 2001;Mathon et al, 2002;Núñez Ocasio et al, 2020).
