SAT-504 Delayed Hypersensitivity to Levothyroxine, and Oral Desensitization

Abstract: Introduction- Hypothyroidism is a common endocrine disorder, affecting about 4.6 percent of the U.S. population aged 12 and older. The most common treatment is synthetic thyroxine hormone supplementation-levothyroxine, starting at 1.6 mcg/kg.Hypersensitivity reactions to levothyroxine are rare.
