Results: Dialysis providers have great (financial) responsibility when setting up a HHD program; however the results of the SLR showed that published literature is usually incomplete and does not depict total cost of ownership. Identified relevant cost items (SLR & interviews) are illustrated in Table 1. Our research shows that the cost structure is not homogenous over time as installation and training cost items are primarily applicable in the first year of the HHD program and a patient's HHD journey. Furthermore, it was found that while iHHD's and cHHD's cost items are identical, the financial impact might differ due to increased therapy frequency of iHHD and dialysis system used.
