Abstract:Background: IGSF1 deficiency syndrome, also known as X-linked central hypothyroidism and testicular enlargement (CHTE) syndrome, is caused by mutations in the immunoglobulin superfamily, member 1 gene. Recently recognized as the most common genetic cause of isolated central hypothyroidism (CH), its cardinal features include CH and adult macroorchidism.
