Sarcopenia and Its Effect on Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Abstract: Malnutrition and sarcopenia are common conditions in inflammatory bowel disease. Both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are characterized by chronic inflammation; additionally, strictures and fistulas can be seen in Crohn's disease.
