Sandwich Panel as a Structural Element of Overlap

Abstract

Abstract. This paper considers the issue of sandwich panels using as load-bearing structural elements. The comparison of deflections and critical failure loads were obtained by the results of the full-scale roof sandwich panels tests conducted by the company "Joris Ide" and the theoretical design, according to the calculation method described in Euronorms. Based on these results it was concluded that sandwich panels can be treated as a load-bearing structure only with more taught manufacturing requirements. Thus, the reduced spread of critical loads can be achieved.
