Gross d i s s o l u t i o n b e h a v i o r (p e r c e n t u n d i s s o l v e d s o l i d s as a f u n c t i o n o f d i l u t i o n) i s e x p l a i n e d i n terms o f c h a r a c t e r i s t i c s o f i n d i v i d u a l s a l t s i n t h e waste. The percentage o f t h e sodium i n v e n t o r y r e t r i e v a b l e from t h e tanks by d i s s o l v i n g s a l t c a k e a t reasonable d i l u t i o n l e v e l s i s e s t i m a t e d a t 86% o f t h e t o t a l sodium f o r t a n k BY-102, 98% f o r BY-106, and 79% f o r 8-106.
