Abstract

he presentation of salivary gland pathology to general practice is relatively infrequent. As a result, GPs often only experience limited exposure to salivary gland disorders; thus, their knowledge of the topic is often patchy. This article aims to provide an overview of the topic to help GPs manage these conditions and identify cases requiring urgent referral.
