“…Growth at different temperatures (4,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45, 50 and 55 °C) was tested in LB medium with 3 % (w/v) NaCl and pH 9.0 by incubating the cultures for 48 h and measured the optical density of growth at 660 nm and the sterile LB medium with 3 % (w/v) NaCl and pH 9.0 used as a control. The pH range (pH 5.5-11.5) for growth was analysed using the buffer system described by Wang et al [25] at an interval 0.5 pH unit and NaCl tolerance [0-30 % (w/v) in increments of 1 %] was tested at 35 °C for 48 h by culturing the strains. The anaerobic growth test was performed according to the previously described method [26].…”

“…A rod-shaped, Gram-positive, nonmotile, and endospore-forming bacterium that is a member of the Bacillaceae family in the order Bacillales , class Bacilli ( 1 3 ), is reported here. Salipaludibacillus is known to produce several industrially important extracellular enzymes ( 4 ).…”

“…Salipaludibacillus keqinensis ACCC 60430 T is a strictly aerobic Gram-positive bacterium isolated using serial dilutions from Keqin Lake in Heilongjiang Province, China, and characterized and described as Salipaludibacillus keqinensis by Wang et al (1). Growth is observed at 4 to 40°C (optimum, 25°C), at pH 8.0 to 10.0 (optimum, 9.0), and with up to 16.0% (wt/vol) NaCl (optimum, 8.0%) (1). To understand the resistance mechanism for survival under saline-alkaline conditions, genome sequencing of S. keqinensis ACCC 60430 T was performed using an Illumina HiSeq 4000 sequencer.…”

“…Cells of S. keqinensis ACCC 60430 T grown on LB medium at pH 9.0 and 25°C with 8% (wt/vol) NaCl for 48 h were collected (1), and genomic DNA was extracted using a microbial DNA isolation kit (Aidlab Biotech, Beijing, China) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The genome sequencing library was constructed using the TruSeq DNA Nano library prep kit for Illumina.…”
