Saliency Improvement in Feature-Poor Surgical Environments Using Local Laplacian of Specified Histograms

Abstract: Navigation in endoscopic environments requires an accurate and robust localisation system. A key challenge in such environments is the paucity of visual features that hinders accurate tracking.
