Safety and Efficacy of Mycophenolate Mofetil in Relapsing Acquired Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura: Could It Prevent Further Relapse?.

Abstract: Introduction: Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) is a life threatening condition requiring rapid diagnosis and treatment. Plasma exchange (PEX) is the mainstay of treatment. Various forms of immunosuppression (IS) have been used which include steroids, cyclosporine, cyclophosphamide, vincristine and rituximab. The percentage of patients relapsing is unclear.
