Abstract: Objective: The objective of this study is to assess the safety and effectiveness of an electronic glucose monitoring system (eGMS) versus paper-based protocols (PBPs) to manage diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and hyperglycemic hyperosmolar syndrome (HHS) within the VA setting.
