S235JRC+C Steel Response Analysis Subjected to Uniaxial Stress Tests in the Area of High Temperatures and Material Fatigue

Abstract: Knowledge of the properties and behavior of materials under certain working conditions is the basis for the selection of the proper material for the design of a new structure. This paper deals with experimental investigations of the mechanical properties of unalloyed high quality steel S235JRC + C (1.0122) and its behavior under conditions of high temperatures, creep and mechanical fatigue. The response of the material at high temperatures (20–700 °C) is shown in the form of engineering stress-strain diagrams … Show more

“…Chemical compositions of these steels are given in Table 1 . The tests showed the same results as those previously performed [ 6 , 7 ], when these materials were tested against certain properties. Material (1.1141/C15E+C) is known as unalloyed steel and is usually classified as mild (low carbon, plain carbon) steel.…”

“…Furthermore, it should be noted that the results of some mechanical properties of these materials (1.1141 and 1.0122) at room and high temperatures determined based on their engineering stress-strain diagrams, as well as the results of their mechanical creep behavior determined by creep tests, are presented in Refs. [ 6 , 7 ]. Furthermore, designers usually prescribe the level of toughness that a material should possess for a particular application and at a particular temperature.…”

“…In terms of availability and insight into the research results, reference is made to the following published works. For an insight into some research related to the material S235JRC+C, it is interesting to look at the Refs [7,8]. In addition, to have an insight in the behavior of 18CrNi8 stell alloy, it is recommended to look at the Refs.…”
