Abstract: Introduction: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the most common etiologies of cirrhosis and fastest growing indications for liver transplantation in Western countries. Currently, there is no universal recommendation for NAFLD screening in the primary care setting.
