Abstract:Ruthenium-nitrosyl (Ru II (NO)) complexes are stable in the dark, but exhibit a unique photoreactivity which can lead either to a solid state isomerization from Ru II (NO) to Ru II (ON), or to a nitric oxide (NO·) release in solution.
