Indiscriminate and unscientific application of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, adversely affect the agricultural production system by damaging soil health, contaminating natural water bodies and ground water. As a result of prolonged use of excessive chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the yield of field crops are decreasing due to poor soil health and produced crops also adversely impact human health. For animal husbandry enterprise, fodder production is one of the major activities. Injudicious use of chemicals can reduce fodder production as well as productivity of livestock can also be reduced. Under these circumstances, demonstration of fodder berseem and oats cultivation by using biofertilizers and biopesticides were carried out in farmer’s field at three blocks of Nadia district of West Bengal, India. The study was conducted in the winter season of the year 2020-21; the selected farmers were trained and method demonstrations of fodder crop production were carried out. The demonstration results suggested that average yield of berseem fodder crop was 53.33±2.80 t ha-1 whereas oats fodder crop was 43.07±2.16 t ha-1. The BC ratio of fodder crop cultivation suggested that, by the cultivation of both fodder crops farmers got substantial economic return. Fodder produced by the using biofertilizers and biopesticide contain good amount of dry matter as well as crude protein. From the study it can be concluded that both the fodder crops can be grown in the farmers’ field of the study area by using the biofertilizers and biopesticide without deteriorating the fodder yield and fodder quality.

El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar el impacto económico de acciones en el sector agropecuario para mitigar las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y, por tanto, contribuir a la política climática del país. Para ello, se hacen una serie de simulaciones de estas políticas con un modelo estático de equilibrio general computable para determinar el efecto en producción, consumo, y bienestar de distintos grupos poblacionales de acuerdo a su ingreso. La hipótesis de investigación es que las políticas agropecuarias elegidas que están siendo instrumentadas actualmente pueden a la vez impulsar el crecimiento económico y apoyar la política climática del país. Los resultados muestran que hay una alineación de objetivos entre las distintas Secretarías y programas, y que las acciones de política planteadas contribuyen al crecimiento económico, aunque de manera limitada. Existe un incremento potencial en el valor de la producción agropecuaria de 6.8%, con un aumento en el consumo de alimentos de casi 1%. Además, la renta de la tierra y los salarios incrementan su valor a partir de las políticas en el sector primario. Los resultados obtenidos están en línea con los de otros estudios citados a lo largo del trabajo.

The paper focuses on important and topical issues of agricultural economy development within the paradigm of sustainable development and reorientation towards a low-carbon economy. The main purpose of this study is to identify the contemporary challenges in the field of environmental protection in rural areas of Poland. Specially designed survey of a large representative sample (random sampling) of Polish agricultural producers has been used. The study is based on the results of quantitative research (questionnaire surveys) carried out among 1101 agricultural holdings and a qualitative research carried out among 24 experts (professional agri-environmental advisors). The research shows that the main challenges in the investigated material and spatial scope include lowaltitude emissions and the issues associated with waste sorting. There was a significant variation in responses, taking into account the locations of agricultural holdings as well as characteristics of the respondents and farms. Independent experts indicated and assessed environmental threats in rural areas and classified the activities and implementations in the scope of pro-environmental innovation that may reduce the negative impact of agriculture on the natural environment in rural areas of Poland.
