Rupture of the gravid uterus following a road traffic accident

Abstract: A case of rupture of the uterus at 34 weeks of pregnancy due to a road traffic accident is presented. Emergency laparotomy and total abdominal hysterectomy were done with good maternal outcome. This is a rare cause of rupture of the uterus in this population.
