Abstract:Wireless node localization is one of the key technologies for wireless sensor networks. Outdoor localization can use GPS, AGPS (Assisted Global Positioning System) [6], but in buildings like supermarkets and underground parking, the accuracy of GPS and even AGPS will be greatly reduced. Since Indoor localization requests higher accuracy, using GPS or AGPS for indoor localization is not feasible in the current view. RSSI-based trilateral localization algorithm, due to its low cost, no additional hardware suppor… Show more
“…Although, several position determination schemes [24][25][26][27] has been introduced to estimate position in the wireless network. In this work to estimate the position of MS, we adopt the position estimation method that is divided into two phases [26] are described as follows.…”

“…The second phase is online phase where mobile nodes location is found by matching the RSSI fingerprint to the one's already stored in the database. Statistical methods involve refining the position by attempting to reduce location deviation caused by environmental factors [7].…”
“…In the RSSI based localization it should made sure that a minimum value is adopted which is between Wi-Fi scan rate and gyroscope scanning rate to ensure not to collect useless data. Location estimation using RSSI measurement model and sensor node's position estimation using probabilistic model is described in [22]. Accuware Indoor Navigation [23] provides mobile apps with current location information by enabling the navigation.…”
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
