Rotator Manşet Lezyonu Olan Olgularda Üst Ekstremi̇te Ve Skapular Propri̇osepti̇f Nöromusküler Fasi̇li̇tasyon Tekni̇ği̇ni̇n Etki̇si̇

Abstract: Bu çalışma rotator manşet lezyonu tanısı alan olgularda proprioseptif nöromusküler fasilitasyon (PNF) tekniğinin ağrı, fonksiyonellik ve yaşam kalitesi üzerindeki etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapıldı. Show more

“…Tunç et al used rhythmic initiation, repeated stretch, rhythmic stabilization and hold-relax techniques in the two diagonal pattern of the upper extremity, and rhythmic initiation and repeated stretch techniques in the anterior elevation-posterior depression pattern of the scapula in their study in patients with RC lesion. It is reported that resting, activity and night pain significantly decreased both in the group they applied CT and in the group they applied PNF in addition to CT, however, there was more improvement in resting and night pain in the PNF group 15 . Similarly, in the current study, rest, activity, and night pain were evaluated separately with VAS and a significant improvement was found in both PNF and exercise groups.…”

“…PNF is a therapeutic approach that works through mechanisms such as stress relaxation, pain gate theory, autogenic inhibition that improves muscle activation and ROM 30 . It has been stated that PNF techniques applied in addition to conventional treatment (CT) for 6 weeks in AC and RC pathologies are more effective than CT alone on pain, ROM and function 15 31 . Balcı et al reported an improvement in pain and function at the end of 1 session with the use of rhythmic initiation and repeated contractions (repeated stretch) techniques applied in 2 diagonals of the scapula together with CT in patients with AC 14 .…”
