Root Сoverage in Gingival Recession and Correction of Insufficiently Attached Gingiva Using of Perioderm ™: Case Series Reports

Abstract

Gingival recessions are one of the most common aesthetic and functional periodontal problems, but also one of the most difficult in terms of etiology and treatment. Various surgical treatments for this condition have been described in the literature. Root closure for gingival recession using PerioDerm is one such method that has shown promising results. The purpose of this case series reports is to demonstrate the benefits of PerioDerm™ Acellular Dermis (DENTSPLY Tulsa Dental Specialties; Tulsa, Oklahoma) in reducing recession and adding connective tissue during periodontal-restorative complex treatment.The use of PerioDerm has shown positive results and has shown itself as a viable option for closing roots during a recession.
