Room Temperature Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Magnetic Property of a Two-Dimensional Copper(II) Polymer Bridged by End-On and End-to-End Azide Bridges

Abstract: A novel two dimensional (2D) copper(II) polymer [Cu 3 (N 3 ) 6 (DMF) 2 ] n (1) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, X-ray single crystal diffraction and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Complex 1 was formed by a [Cu 3 (N 3 ) 6 (DMF) 2 ] trimeric unit through two double symmetric end-on (EO) azide bridges which further constructed 2-D network through asymmetric EO and end-end azide bridges.
