Social camouflaging describes the use of strategies to compensate for and mask autistic characteristics during social interactions. A newly developed self-reported measure of camouflaging (Camouflaging Autistic Traits Questionnaire) was used in an online survey to measure gender differences in autistic ( n = 306) and non-autistic adults ( n = 472) without intellectual disability for the first time. Controlling for age and autistic-like traits, an interaction between gender and diagnostic status was found: autistic females demonstrated higher total camouflaging scores than autistic males (partial η2 = 0.08), but there was no camouflaging gender difference for non-autistic people. Autistic females scored higher than males on two of three Camouflaging Autistic Traits Questionnaire subscales: Masking (partial η2 = 0.05) and Assimilation (partial η2 = 0.06), but not on the Compensation subscale. No differences were found between non-autistic males and females on any subscale. No differences were found between non-binary individuals and other genders in either autistic or non-autistic groups, although samples were underpowered. These findings support previous observations of greater camouflaging in autistic females than males and demonstrate for the first time no self-reported gender difference in non-autistic adults.

A substantial amount of identity development scholarship has drawn on the work of Erik Erikson to argue that women resolve stages of identity and intimacy simultaneously, whereas men follow the trajectory originally proposed by Erikson, first resolving the identity stage, then the intimacy stage. Some research has shown that for some women, the identity and intimacy stages appear to be fused; however, other research has shown that many women do follow the traditional Eriksonian progression. We propose a model of identity development for women that maps a trajectory for women who follow Erikson's traditional stages and a relational-identity trajectory characterized by simultaneous resolution of the identity and intimacy stages. Our model synthesizes work by Josselson (1987), Dyk and Adams's (1990) recognition of sex-role identification, Kerpelman and Pittman's (2018) infusion of attachment theory and identity, and Berzonsky's (1990) identity styles. The purpose of this study generally is to describe the role of Muslimat and Fatayat (an organization of Muslim women) in forming an egalitarian family. Specifically, this study discusses the role of Muslimat and Fatayat NU and gender in forming an egalitarian family. Both of these problems were approached using qualitative methods. The concept of gender is offered as capital to form an egalitarian family. The results of the study indicate that Muslimat and Fatayat NU have a strategic role in guiding Muslim families towards friendly Islamic life. Friendliness will be created if each family member respects each other and there is no discrimination between men and women. Gender stereotypes that give rise to discrimination must be eroded to create equality that characterizes egalitarian families. Gender stereotypes are found in children's play, types of child work, and children's attitudes. Stereotypically differentiated games of boys and girls are based on risk. Boys tend to play hard and risky games such as soccer, playing kites, and playing car toys. Whereas girls play dolls, cook, and trade. Likewise it happens in work life. The attitude of girls tends to be weak, gentle, and whiny, while boys must be brave. These stereotypical things must be eliminated. Muslimat and Fatayat NU which are formed by Muslim women and mother are as social movers. In addition, mother has a big role in directing egalitarian in the family.
