Romanization

Abstract: “Romanization,” together with its equivalent in other languages (Fr. romanisation , Ger. Romanisierung , etc.), is the term that has been used by scholars since the late nineteenth century to denote the adoption, by individuals or groups, of structural or cultural traits associated with Roman civilization, usually as a result of incorporation into the Roman Empire.
