Rolling Wear of Nanostructured Elastomers for Pneumatic Tires

Abstract: The effect of carbon nanotubes, which inclined to displaying mesomorphism, introduced into elastomers on rolling-sliding wear was investigated. Some tentative conclusions about the correlation between a change in the structure of an elastomeric material and its wear were drawn on the basis of the study of the effect of rolling speed and temperature upon the wear.
