Among those, proteins isolated from Brazilian snake venoms, such as Bothrops moojeni and Crotalus durissus terrificus [ 31 ] have shown antiviral activity against hepatitis C virus (HCV) [ 32 ], dengue virus (DENV) and yellow fever virus (YFV) [ 33 ], measles virus [ 34 ], Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) [ 35 ], and ZIKV [ 36 ].
