Role of Thyroid State in Age-Dependent Cardiac Effects of Ouabain in Guinea Pigs

Abstract: We tested the hypothesis that the decrease in the thyroid state, with age, contributes to the age-related increase in myocardial responsiveness to cardiac glycosides.
