The country's economic growth opportunities are largely determined by the level of development and use of its scientific and technical potential. The main factors that determine the scientific and technical potential are: science, fixed assets, personnel, technology and information. The article analyzes their impact on the level of the country's potential. It should be noted that most of the research in this area is of a general theoretical nature and does not address issues related to the determination of the scientific and technical potential of the enterprise, the assessment of the size and level of use of its scientific and technical level of production. It is concluded that the scientific and technical potential of the company reflects its scientific and technical level of production and is an integral part of the production potential of the enterprise. At the enterprise level, it includes: the active part of the main production assets, advanced technologies and information resources. The classification of indicators for assessing the scientific and technical level of production is carried out, in which it is proposed to distinguish the following groups of indicators: the technical state of fixed production assets, the progressiveness of technological processes, the use of information resources, the level of production organization, and product quality. The proposed approach will allow not only to more accurately and reasonably determine the value of the scientific and technical level of production, to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the level of its use, but also to develop separate theoretical provisions in the field of determining the scientific and technical potential. Keywords: scientific and technical potential; scientific and technical development; elements of scientific and technical potential; enterprise potential; composition of the enterprise potential; scientific and technical level of production; production potential; indicators of potential assessment; assessment of the scientific and technical level of production; system of indicators for assessing the scientific and technical level.
