Role of theΔ*(1940)in theπ+pK+Σ+

Abstract: The pp → nK + Σ + (1385) reaction is a very good isospin 3/2 filter for studying ∆ ++ * resonance decaying to K + Σ + (1385). Within the effective Lagrangian method, we investigate the Σ(1385) (spin-parity J P = 3/2 + ) hadronic production in the π + p → K + Σ + (1385) and pp → nK + Σ + (1385) reactions. For π + p → K + Σ + (1385) reaction, in addition to the "background" contributions from tchannel K * 0 exchange, u-channel Λ(1115) and Σ 0 (1193) exchange, we also consider the contribution from the s-channel … Show more

“…To evaluate the contributions of those terms shown in figure 1, the effective Lagrangian densities for relevant interaction vertexes are needed. Following [34][35][36][37][38][39][40], the Lagrangian densities used in this work are, reaction. The contributions from s-channel Λ(1600) and Λ(1670) resonances and u-channel nucleon pole are considered.…”

“…Here we study the π − p → J/ψn reaction within an effective Lagrangian approach, which has been widely employed to investigate the pion induced reactions [32,[47][48][49][50][51][52][53][54]. The relevant Feynman diagrams are depicted in Fig.…”
