Abstract: Abstract. Squamous Cell Carcinoma Antigen-1 (SCCA1) overexpression has been observed in tumours of epithelial origin and in hepatocellular carcinoma. Previous data indicate that this serpin inhibits apoptosis, while its proliferative activity was only recently proposed.
