Role of Serum Lipids in Gallstone Pathogenesis: A Case–control Study From Punjab

Abstract: Objective: Pathogenesis of gallstone (GS) disease is multifactorial, involving both genetic and environmental factors. The main pathogenic factor responsible for the hypersecretion of cholesterol into bile is the impaired lipid metabolism, which actually reflects the likelihood of GS formation.
