Role of PTEN and MMP‐7 expression in growth, invasion, metastasis and angiogenesis of gastric carcinoma

Abstract: To investigate the role of PTEN and matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7) expression in tumorigenesis and progression of gastric carcinoma, their expression in 113 gastric carcinomas was studied by immunohistochemistry. Microvessel density (MVD) was counted using the anti-CD34 antibody.
