Role of Potassium Source from Eco Enzyme on Growth and Production of Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) Varieties

Abstract: Background and Objective: The use of shallot varieties and sources of the eco enzyme as organic fertilizer is an alternative effort to increase the productivity of shallot bulbs. The study aims to determine the growth and production response of shallot varieties on the application of potassium sources from the eco enzyme. Materials and Methods: This research was conducted in the experimental land of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara from February-April, 2021, used a factorial randomized bl… Show more

“…The findings demonstrate that ecoenzymes derived from orange peel waste exhibit a bactericidal effect that is fivefold greater than that of detergent when applied to a standardized test area. Additionally, other studies demonstrate that the usage of ecoenzymes from orange, chicory, and pineapple peels can decrease the dry weight of shallot bulbs (Allium ascalonicum L.) by 18.41, 37.78, and 26.29%, respectively [13]. These two papers represent a subset of the several forms of publications that pertain to similar issues within this cluster, which focuses on development trends seen over the past decade.…”

“…The eco-enzyme can be used to cleaned the floors, as a fertilizer, and others many benefits that were prepared from the waste (Nurlatifah et al, 2022). The liquid waste processing using this eco enzyme show that Total SS reduction rate is 65-88% on an initial Total Suspended Solids concentration of 345 ppm (Suliestyah et al 2022).The use of eco-enzyme chicory in Lokananta increased bulb dry weight by 20.47% compared to control and the application of eco-enzyme chicory orange peel and pineapple skin reduced the bulb dry weight by, respectively 18.41, 37.78 and 26.29% (Hasanah et al, 2022).The major applications of Eco-enzymes are including cleaning floors, utensils, gardening, and other innovative techniques of recycling and reusing natural trash that will assist in reducing fruit waste (Benny et al, 2023). Eco-enzyme can be used as a natural disinfectant, environmental health and virus protection as well as recycle.…”

“…Bahan yang telah bersih ditimbang sehingga diketahui beratnya untuk menentukan banyaknya molase gula tebu yang akan ditambahkan. Menurut Hasanah et al, (2022) perbandingan bahan organik:molase:air (3:1:10). Sebanyak 600g limbah sayur dan buah, ataupun limbah kulit nenas dirajang untuk mengecilkan ukuran.…”
