Role of potassium solublizing bacteria on nutrients uptake in red bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L. cv. Goli) under water deficit condition

Abstract: This experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of halt irrigation and bio fertilizer on plant yield, seed nutrients content, relative water content (RWC) and chlorophyll index (SPAD) of Goli genotype of red bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), based on split plot design with three replications during two years of 2014-2015 at Arak, Iran. Halt irrigation was in main plots by four levels of control (full irrigation), halt irrigation in vegetative stage, at flowering stage and pod filling stage and four bio fert… Show more

“…The application of bio-stimulant (Bioaab) with different organic and inorganic N sources showed a signi cant increase in biomass and grain yield (Table 7,8) which is in agreement with Chavoshi and coworker con rming that the biofertilizers led to more water and nutrient use e ciency 44 and play important role in improving soil fertility and enhancing crop yield 45 . Bio-stimulants boost the defense system of plant, converting insoluble form of nutrients into soluble form, participate in nutrient cycling and improve the soil structure and ultimately increased the productivity and yield 46 .…”

“…In another study was done by Mahmoud et al (2013) who indicated that the green pods yield and pod quality of pea plant were enhanced to a great extent through increasing the level of added compost. In addition, using KSB in a good agreement with findings of Han and Lee (2005) and Chavoshi et al (2017). As for the effect of Kfertilization may be due to that potassium is very remarkable in overall metabolism of plant enzymes activity, because its serve a necessary part in photosynthesis by direct increasing in growth and total yield.…”

“…For example, EM inoculation in the soil significantly increased yield, seed quality traits, and leaf photosynthesis in the common bean [42]. In general, a host of studies have shown a significant increase in crop yield after the inoculation of the soil with EM [43][44][45].…”
