Modern age dentistry is very much different from what it was in the past. In this period of super specialization, clinical skills are tuned finely with professional expertise is improved. Interdisciplinary approach is mandatory to deal with any clinical situation to provide optimal and timely treatment results. This paper gives the emphasis on comprehensive management of young people with gingival and periodontal diseases. The paper provides the background to the condition, the possible etiological factors, the prevalence of peridontal diseases and other related conditions.
