Role of periodontal disease in bisphosphonate‐related osteonecrosis of the jaws in ovariectomized rats

Abstract: Bisphosphonates inhibit alveolar bone resorption in progressive periodontal disease, which might benefit the management of periodontitis, but increase the risk of developing BRONJ.
