Abstract: Worldwide, coronary artery disease (CAD) accounts for a disproportionate share of all cardiovascular deaths. Disruption of the atherosclerotic plaque and thrombotic blockage of the artery cause acute coronary syndrome (ACS), a subtype of coronary artery disease (CAD).
