Role of mDia1 in RAGE signaling and smooth muscle cell migration

Abstract: RAGE (Receptor for Advanced Glycation end Products) plays a pivotal role in the atherosclerotic process. The cytoplasmic binding domain of RAGE interacts with mDia‐1, a member of the formin family involved in actin and microtubule reorganization. Here we report that mDia‐1 is required for RAGE effects on vascular stress.
