“…These included transvaginal injection of fibrin sealant in 1 case, Yag Laser welding in 8 patients, cystoscopic electrocoagulation/fulguration/catheter method in 11 patients, endovaginal application of cyanoacrylic glue in 3 cases, platelet rich plasma/rich fibrin glue application in 6 women, curettage of fistula tract in 3 cases and ball technique with rubber/metal ball in 18 females. Success ranged between 67%-100% and the majority consisted of small VVF (<1 cm) [ 22 , 26 , 37 , 39 , 44 , 62 , 76 , 86 , 112 , 122 ].…”

“…O'Conor applied electrocoagulation for highly situated small fistula with dimensions of 3.5 mm or smaller. 2 Curettage of the fistula tract with screw followed by prolonged catheterization has been reported to be effective in a small series of patients by Aycinena. 2 However, there is no publication about sealing of VVF tract in the literature.…”

“…Meanwhile, ensuring an empty bladder, and post‐operative relaxation were key points which enhanced the success of the VVF repairs. And a three‐way urethral catheter was routinely used to prevent obstruction of the drainage and anti‐muscarinic drugs were regularly administered during the drainage to relax the bladder …”
