Abstract: 12532 Background: Malignant gliomas are typically angiogenic and express greater amounts of angiogenic factors. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) are prominent glioblastoma-associated multifunctional cytokines that stimulate migration, invasion and angiogenesis.
