“…The studies performed form a part of a major project which shows dependencies between the parameters describing body posture and age, puberty and anthropometric parameters in children from rural areas [ 25 , 26 ]. The project is important for practical purposes, as well as for the prevention of postural defects and excessive weight in children and adolescents.…”

“…Many scientists and practitioners use it. Numerous studies have been carried out on the accuracy and reliability of measurements in various age and clinical groups [ 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 , 31 ]. By analyzing the composition of body weight, the content of adipose tissue (FAT% and kg), lean tissue (fat free mass (FFM)kg), muscle tissue (PMM kg), total water content (TBW%), basic metabolism (BMR) and impedance (IMP) were assessed.…”

“…The minimum size of the sample was calculated taking into account the number of children with intellectual disability attending the special educational facility in the Podkarpackie Region, Poland, annually. A fraction size of 0.9 was used, with a maximum error of 5% [ 32 , 33 , 34 , 35 ], a sample size of 58 children was obtained. The study involved 60 children.…”
