Unprecedented population growth and climate change has burdened food security and scarcity worldwide, where the agriculture sector can significantly contribute to accomplishing the demands and contribute to the economic growth of a country. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the agricultural domain. Pest and weed detection is significant to yielding good quality crops. The AI-based tools and technologies such as drones and robots bring advancement in crop production by performing the early detection of weeds and pests. The tools utilize image processing and machine learning algorithms to capture, analyze and detect the presence of weeds and pests in plants. The research work carried out provides a comprehensive survey for the application of artificial intelligence for both weed and pest detection. It presents widely used techniques, their evaluation parameters, and publicly available datasets which provide the current status of work for the researchers working in the domain of weed and pest detection.

“Studies on preparation and quality evaluation of mixed pickle of carrot, pea and ginger” was made with seven treatments and three replications with the equal proportion of carrot, pea and ginger (500 gm each), Salt 10% and lakadong turmeric powder of 10 gm for all treatments with the objective to access the physico-chemico characteristics of fresh vegetables as well as stored mixed pickle at normal room temperature. The biochemical and sensory changes were analysed at monthly interval of initial day, 30 days and 60 days. During storage the TSS, total sugar, acidity, ascorbic acid, β- carotene acid content decreased gradually. The prepared mixed pickle was judged by the 15 panellists during the organoleptic test where using Five-Point hedonic scale in which treatment T7 (2% lemon juice + 2% acetic acid + mustard oil (250 ml) + red chilli (20 g) recorded the maximum value with 4.53 followed by treatment T5 (2% acetic acid + red chilli powder (20 g) + mustard oil (250 ml) with 4.32 up to 60 days of storage. Overall assessment of quality revealed that with respect to conjugal study of all the parameters of total soluble solid, total sugar, acidity and ascorbic acid and β- carotene, the treatment T5 prepared with (2% acetic acid + red chilli powder (20 g) + mustard oil (250 ml) proved considerably superior over other treatments with the maximum acceptability.

This study examines the capabilities of Generative artificial intelligence (AI), particularly GPT-4, in transforming research scale development, a process traditionally characterized by extensive time requirements and the potential for human bias. The research aims to clarify whether AI can match and enhance the efficiency and objectivity of research scale creation and adaptation. By adopting a mixed-method design, the study utilizes GPT-4 to generate and modify research scales, which were then rigorously evaluated for reliability and validity and juxtaposed against the scales developed through traditional methodologies. This comprehensive evaluation encompasses quantitative and qualitative assessments and provides a general view of the effectiveness of AI-generated scales. Results revealed GPT-4’s remarkable ability to produce reliable, valid, and comparable research scales that were developed using established methods. Expert feedback further underscores AI’s potential in this field, particularly in reducing human biases and increasing methodological efficiency. A synergistic approach was developed Based on consensus, combining AI’s computational strengths and human oversight and expertise. This study highlights a significant advancement in research methodology and illustrates AI's practical and beneficial integration in scale development. Moreover, it opens new research practice avenues and enables the selection of highly streamlined, unbiased, innovative scale creation processes.
