“…Maillol et al (1997) estudiaron rocas volcánicas cuaternarias de los campos volcánicos de Mascota y Talpa sin encontrar rotaciones; no obstante, estos autores sugieren que los grabens en este sector del BJ están asociados a movimientos con desplazamiento dextral lo cual podría explicarse si se considera que el BJ se movió hacia el NW. Igualmente, García-Ruiz et al (2017) también estudiaron el campo volcánico de Mascota sin encontrar evidencia de rotación. Nieto-Obregón et al (1992) estudiaron paleomagnéticamente el campo volcánico de Amatlán de Cañas; sus resultados muestran una discordancia angular con las direcciones de referencia esperadas, que fue interpretada como consecuencia de una falla lístrica, con 12° a 20° de inclinación del bloque hundido hacia la falla, caracterizada por un escarpe pronunciado con facetas triangulares y geometría curva.…”
