Robust Computer Algebra, Theorem Proving, and Oracle AI

Abstract: In the context of superintelligent AI systems, the term "oracle" has two meanings. One refers to modular systems queried for domain-specific tasks. Another usage, referring to a class of systems which may be useful for addressing the value alignment and AI control problems, is a superintelligent AI system that only answers questions. The aim of this manuscript is to survey contemporary research problems related to oracles which align with long-term research goals of AI safety. We examine existing question answ… Show more

“…The application of AI in the field of education has realized the full integration of teaching and learning, and also provided an opportunity for the reform of teaching and learning. AI simulates human listening (machine translation, speech recognition) (Delić et al, 2019), speaking (speech synthesis, human-computer dialogue) (Chiba, Nose, Kase, Yamanaka, & Ito, 2019), watching (computer vision, image recognition, text recognition) (Paglen, 2019), thinking (Theorem Proving) (Sarma & Hay, 2017), learning (machine learning, intelligent adaptive learning) (Colchester et al, 2017) and action (robot) (Khandelwal et al, 2017). Particularly, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies like computer vision, natural language processing, and intelligent adaptive learning have altered traditional education and teaching (Yufei, Saleh, Jiahui, & Abdullah, 2020) and given universities and educators new concepts for reshaping the classroom.…”
