In wireless sensor networks, if sink node is stationary, the nodes close to sink will deplete energy faster than those in other areas. The unbalanced energy consumption among the nodes will lead to the energy hole problem, which shortens the network lifetime. To solve the problem, evolutionary game–based trajectory design algorithm for mobile sink in wireless sensor networks is proposed in this article. In evolutionary game model, the average residual energy of each cluster, average intra-cluster energy consumption, and average inter-cluster energy consumption are used to design utility function. The sink will select the cluster with more utility value as its new location and move to the cluster head which has the largest residual energy and the shortest distance to other cluster heads. The simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively balance network load, reduce network energy consumption, prolong the network lifetime, and increase the number of data packets that sink receives.

Social Internet of things is one of the most up-to-date research issues in the applications of Internet of things technologies. In social Internet of things, accuracy and reliability are standard features to discerning decisions. We assume that decision support systems based on social Internet of things could leverage research from recommender systems to achieve more stable performance. Therefore, we propose a trust-aware recommender systems suitable for social Internet of things. Trust-aware recommender systems adapt the concept of social networking service and utilize social interaction information. Trust information not only improves recommender systems from opinion spam problems but also more accurately predicts users’ preferences. We confirm that the performance of a recommender system becomes more improved when implicit trust is able to satisfy the properties of trust in the social Internet of things environment. The structure and amount of social link information are context-sensitive, so applying the concept of trust into social Internet of things environments requires a method to optimize implicit and explicit trust with minimal social link information. Our proposed method configures an asymmetric implicit trust network utilizing user–item rating matrix and transforms trust propagation metrics for a directional and weighted trust network. Through experiments, we confirm that the proposed methods enable higher accuracy and wider coverage compared to the existing recommendation methods.

Advanced robotic systems will encounter a rapid breakthrough opportunity and become increasingly important, especially with the aid of the accelerated development of artificial intelligence technology. Nowadays, advanced robotic systems are widely used in various fields. However, the development of artificial intelligence-based robot systems for structural health monitoring of tunnels needs to be further investigated, especially for data modeling and intelligent processing for noises. This research focuses on integrated B-spline approximation with a nonparametric rank method and reveals its advantages of high efficiency and noise resistance for the automatic health monitoring of tunnel structures. Furthermore, the root-mean-square error and time consumption of the rank-based and Huber’s M-estimator methods are compared based on various profiles. The results imply that the rank-based method to model point cloud data has a comparative advantage in the monitoring of tunnel, as well as the large-area structures, which requires high degrees of efficiency and robustness.
